Prep Time15 minutes
Cook Time25 minutes
Total Time40 minutes
Course: Sides
Servings: 4 2 large mason jars

Ingredients

  • 12 each Apples You can use a variety of different apples for taste
  • 3 cups Water
  • 1 tsp Ground Ginger Adjust to your taste
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon Adjust to your taste

Instructions

  • Wash and slice your apples. Next you will need to cut them up and remove the cores.
  • Place all of the apple chunks into your instant pot bowl and add your water.
  • Add your ginger and cinnamon (or any spices you would like to add) to taste and stir around mixing all of the flavors together.
  • Once you have finished place the bowl into the instant pot and lock the lid. Make sure your release valve is in the seal position and not the vent. If you have it on the vent position the pot will not pressurize and will make angry noises at you! Set the manual button to 15 mins and let it do its magic!
  • Once the timer beeps you can do a quick release of the pot rather than let it release on its own. Release the pot and pour all of the contents into a large bowl. Let it sit and cool down for a short period of time.
  • Now that everything has cooled a bit, place it all into your blender or Vitamix and add some of the water that you cooked the apples in since this holds a lot of the flavor you added. Use a little over half of the liquid and add more as you go for desired consistency.
